About the area.

Kawana Island is located in an area of Queensand called the Sunshine Coast.

We are in between Caloundra and Maroochydore & around 90 km from Brisbane international airport.

It is an Island surrounded by canal systems and the Mooloola river, with 3 roads and a footbridge.

Within a short drive you will find:

The second largest shopping center on the Sunshine Coast.

Beaches, both great surf or protected.

Golf corses.

Soccer fields, Stockland Park (mixed sport)

several schools.

Restaurants, fast food etc.

The top of this picture shows the world famous Mooloolaba beach and Uunderwater World.

Montego's Restaurant at Double Bay is only a short walk from the house.

There are 4 parks with play equipment within a short walk or bike ride.

Kawana Island is surrounded by a waterside bike track stretching 10 km round the island.

There are some great fishing spots both on the canal or the river all a short walk.
